Olde Towne Liquors - Fear the Bird Host of all the latest news and gossip in Arlington Men's A-League Softball... POWER RANKINGS UPDATED 07/17/2007 Down for the Count...
Goodtimes was too much for an overmatched OTL squad, claiming their 36th straight title. Arlington, MA- Olde Towne Liquors discovered what so many teams before them had learned, Goodtimes is a pretty good softball team. This years version of GTB was one of the best. Goodtimes put up an astounding 70 runs in 16 innings at the dish. The result was a 3-game sweep and severely bruised, literally, OTL squad. OTL could only watch in horror as run after run crossed home plate. The only bright spot of the night was when Spaz of Wallex showed to hand OTL the 2007 Intercontinental Belt. Following the game the post-season started in a flurry. The Bulldog, unhappy with his teams defense, is said to be trying to get moved to Goodtimes in a last ditch effort to get a ring..ala Robes. Rumors of the move have OTL getting Al Shue (with sleeves only), The Riggazio triplets, Krepelka's first born, Kruk's one remaining nut, and Donnie Murphy's expiring max contract. The sticking point in the move appears to be Amico's persistence in getting a vintage pair of Bob Bart's 1974 goggles. Olde Towne Liquors would like to thank everyone for being a pain in the a$$ yet again this year. A serious congratulations to Goodtimes, as well as a screw to all of you that we beat this year (That means every other team). We'll see you in 2008!!! Your 2007 Intercontinental Champs....OLDE TOWNE LIQUORS
Rumors of 7 player deal to move the Bulldog to Goodtimes are underway. Bulldog claims he is "the logical next step to global domination".
OTL nation had to settle for the Intercontinental Belt, handed down from Wallex in a stirring ceremony.
Bob Barts did not have the same issues lining the field as he did back in 2004 for the Chiefs-Broncos tilt.
The annual Drake Village GTB bash was rumored to be "off the hook" last night with appearances from Ted Nugent, George the Animal Steele, and Erin Andrews.
Guns n' Roses was the feature party music of the night for GTB, a much needed upgrade from the BeeGees.
In case Al was not aware, he was on beers Monday.
Darth Robes was all smiles after the Goodtimes sweep.
